Program Objective

The Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Programs, also known as work permits for nannies, aim to support children and elderly individuals in Canada.

This program is not limited to any specific province.

Processing Times

Approximately 12 months.

Program Eligibility

• Work Experience Requirements
  • 24 months of experience may be eligible for a bridging open work permit.
  • Without 24 months of experience: eligible for an occupation-restricted open work permit.
• Job Offer Requirements
  • Yes, a valid job offer is required.
• Education Requirements
  • One year of Canadian post-secondary education OR an ECA report equivalency of at least one year of Canadian post-secondary education.
• Language Requirements
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 is accepted.
• Funds or Investment Requirements
  • Must maintain CAD 10,000 – 12,000 in a bank account, fixed deposit, or equivalent financial resources.
