Program Objective

The Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) or AINP is an immigration program that allows the province to hire skilled workers with the right work experience and training to fill in-demand jobs in Alberta.


Program Streams

  • Alberta Express Entry Program

    • Job offer not required

    • Minimum CRS 300

    • CLB 7 for FSW and CEC, CLB 4 for FSTP

    • Education: High school or job-specific training

    • Work Experience: 1 year for FSWP and CEC; 2 years for FSTP

    • Processing Time: 4-6 Months

  • Alberta Opportunity Stream

    • Job offer required

    • NOC O, A, or B - CLB 5 or higher; NOC C or D - CLB 4 or higher

    • Education: High School Diploma/Certificate

    • Work Experience: At least 12 months

    • Processing Time: 4-6 months (AIP Online Portal), 15-19 months (Paper Application)

  • International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

    • Job offer not required

    • Education: At least 2 years of full-time degree or diploma from an educational institute in Alberta

    • Postgraduate work permit valid for at least 2 years

    • CLB/NCLC 7 or higher

    • Post-secondary (Diploma or Degree)

    • At least 6 months actively managing and/or owning a business

    • Processing Time: 4-6 months (AIP Online Portal), 15-19 months (Paper Application)

  • Self-Employed Farmer Stream

    • Job offer not required

    • No minimum language requirement

    • Work Experience: Express Entry Requirement (1 year for FSWP and CEC; 2 years for FSTP)

    • Investment Funds: At least $500,000 equity

    • Processing Time: 15-19 months (Paper Application only)
